The Mobile Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program (MBA VLP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance in certain civil matters to low income Mobile County residents.

If you think you may qualify as low-income under the program’s financial guidelines, please contact MBA VLP.  You can apply for services by telephone (438-1102), online  or in person.  Office hours are 8:30 am- 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, but you can access the online application anytime.

The MBA VLP also provides free legal assistance to community based organizations that improve the lives of the VLP client base and contribute to the revitalization of Mobile County.  See our Community Economic Development application for more information.

Through the Wills for Heroes project, MBA VLP attorneys provide free basic estate planning services to firefighter, police and emergency personnel.  Please contact us by telephone or e-mail regarding the 2010 schedule.
